George - Your site is thorough and helpful. You
discuss the "whys and wherefores" as well as your ultimate findings.
The site was by far the most helpful of the ones that I reviewed
(searching re track cleaning - HO). Best regards, Cabell

Your research on laptop power consumption was
extremely valuable for my electronics project. I also like your quote
on "....to a man with a hammer.... :-)"
Keep up the good work. Thanks. |

I must say your site has helped me
substationnaly. I have just got my first air brush I just kind of
jumped into it. I have tried to find an ansewer for this question via
the search engines, but have came up empty. I was wondering if you
provide some insight for me, I need to know if when you surpass the
airbrush's maximum psi, and it starts acting funny, is it garbage? or
is it repairable?

On the other site you have a photograph of a 20
mule team laoding in DAggett, Ca. Can you share where you found that
photo?
Oh the frieghter from Beaty was actucally John Lane, a merchant from Calico who had to relocate when Calico busted out after the turn of the century. His wife's name was Lucy and she lived into the 60's. If you have any other photographs of Daggett during that era, please share. Thanks, Jim |

Great photos and info. Slim Princess was a unique
road. I never saw it in operation. It inspired me to build a H.O. Scale
tourist train based on the S.P. one used on the narrow gauge.

You have by far the best sight I have ever seen.
Your articles are exceptional. I have been asking around about power
problems for my Aristo Atlantic engine with no responses. Your sight
has the most likely answer to my problem - DIRTY WHEELS! Thank you so
much. I will be looking to your sight for answers to more/any problems
I may encounter in the future.

A million thanks, your "USB Power Spec" page
confirmed a lot of my assumptions and answered a few questions.
In there you mentioned you didn't (maybe you do now) have a USB charger for AA/AAA batteries. I wanted to tell you I have a USB charger for AA batteries, can charge 4 at the same time, but to fully charge 4x 1800mA NiMH AAs take about 2 days (can't complaint, as it is 5V at 500mA). With an AAA to AA adapter, it charges my AAA NiMH batteries also. Not sure where you are based, but contact me if you still want one. Not expensive at all. Thanks. |

Classic Trains magazine summer 2005 has a
photo
of SP #9 on the 'gallows' turntable at Laws Ca in July 1959. Wasn't she also in a few Gene Autry TV shows. The billowing smoke and the side dump gondola (fight sceens) gave her away. Enjoyed your site. Thanx |

good option! I saw a brilliant video clip recently of a G? scale German
loco with smoke synch'ed to sound!

Thanks for adding your knowledge to the resource

obviously a considerable one, and undertaken over coutless hours. Very
much appreciated.

Recently I picked up a bachman Big Hauler for $60
bucks at an antique shop. It came minus the track. The box says radio
controlled. model number 90-0100 However it has quite the computer
board setup in the tender, and Im not so certain it is the same loco as
came in the box. No place for batteries in the engine or tender. It
also doesnt advertise as being a smoking train, but it does have a
smoke unit in the smoke stack. Needless to say it doesnt work with just
the radio controller. Any info would be appreciated.
